Disneyland Resort Trip Report
February 8, 2005

Ah, another glorious day at Disneyland! It was Friday, February 4, at nine in the morning. I was supposed to meet some friends at Disneyland when it opened but (to my delight!) they showed up nearly two hours after the park had opened. So I went about the park, by myself, and began my day at the happiest place on earth!

First stop, Pirates of the Caribbean, which is best to ride when there are only five people on a boat. It was quiet and relaxing, and totally awesome!

Next stop was the Haunted Mansion. I have to say, that was about the best time I've ever had in the Mansion. First off, the elevator trip was made even more awesome because everyone knew the dialogue, so it was a group experience! Then, I finally got to check out the "new" features on the mansion, which I really loved.

Next on my walk was Winnie The Pooh, where I was excited to look out for the Country Bear surprise! I talked with the ride operator (Louie I think it was …) for a while then went on the ride (and saw the surprise! It brought a tear to my eye) and talked with the ride operator some more!

Then came Big Thunder Mountain (line was only 15 minutes!!!). That was fun!

Last ride I went on (before my friends finally arrived) was Small World! No Disneyland trip is complete without a ride on Small World! And of course that was awesome!!

So my friends showed up and we went through the rest of the park (excluding the Fantasyland rides like Snow White, Peter Pan, etc.) then went on to California Adventure.

And what was the first ride at CA? Tower of Terror of course! Oh and not only once on the Tower, we went twice in a row. And I'll tell you another thing, the front row, first seat is about the WORST place to ride! Not a thing to hold onto! I was freaking out! But it was still good fun, a brand new experience for me.

Oh and speaking of new experiences, guess who got to sit in the front car on California Screamin' ?! That's right! ME! And for the second time of the day, I was FREAKING out! Then we went on the coaster for a second time and yet again, I was in the front car! It was just my lucky day I guess!

The day concluded with a ride on the ever-impressive Soarin' Over California and a nice hour car drive home. I was beat, but the day was awesome and I can't wait until I go again!
